Senior Case Manager
Lori Casey started working as a legal secretary 22 years ago for a defense law firm. While there, she also attended Daytona Beach Community College and graduated in December 1993 with an Associate in Science Degree in Legal Assisting with Honors. In August 1996, Mrs. Casey completed a professional certification through the National Association of Legal Assistants, expanding her legal assisting degree nationally.
Since then, Mrs. Casey has worked with the law firm of Rue & Ziffra for 17 years. She started as the Case Manager for the firm’s litigation department, working in conjunction with all the attorneys. Throughout her years with the firm, she started drafting demand statements for Attorney Allan Ziffra and, as she gained more expertise in this area, was eventually moved out of the litigation department to concentrate just on drafting demand packages. She has been drafting these demands for approximately 15 years now.
Among the normal duties that come with drafting demand packages, Mrs. Casey also performs other tasks such as updating and simplifying the firm’s data base, inputting merge documents into the computer system, and teaching other employees new programs the attorneys decide to implement.
